NPR's Bryant Park Project with Peter Morén
The Bryant Park Project, November 1, 2007 - With steady touring and a ridiculously catchy bit of whistling, Peter Bjorn and John has become one of the year's hottest bands.
The Swedish trio launched the single "Young Folks" this year — straight into the stratosphere. Television shows and commercials picked up its jaunty whistle, and Kanye West remixed it. The hype got so intense that when the band appeared at the annual South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Tex., someone posted a blog called Stop Peter Bjorn and John.
But there appears to be no stopping them.
Singer/guitarist Peter Moren shows why when he visits the BPP studio and plays tracks from the band's third record, Writer's Block.
