Tik Tac Toe JOY at the Lock Tavern!

Thanks y'all! We all had a blast last Sunday, where we took up residence for the very first time at Camden's Lock Tavern. Mega props to all our bands performing that day, our market stall sellers, our new friends at Etsy and the Lock Tavern and, last but by no means least, all those that tipped up!

Pictures are now up in the Tik Tac Toe artists' section. All are © Rory Isserow and you can check out more of his work at www.rorysart.com.

Stay tuned for deets of our next show!

Tik Tac Toe at The Lock Tavern
Tik Tac Toe are BACK!!
Tik Tac Toe at THE LOCK TAVERN - 1st August 2010

Your friendly neighbours at Almost Gold Recordings are repping it on the London club scene. But with some important twists...

Imagine: a show combining some of your favourite established acts with the latest up-and-coming talent. At Tik Tac Toe, we go further.

You can grab a Sunday roast and a outrageously good cupcake, a beer, a tea or coffee, or whatever your poison happens to be; kick back with your mates over a quick board game; peruse a specially-assembled area of market stalls selling jewellery, arts, crafts and other trinkets,

And that's not all - join in a communal game of bingo to win some great prizes and grab some free goodie bags, courtesy of our friends at Esty and Rocksound Magazine.

Oh yeah - and it's free. We're really cool like that.

Joining us for our first show at the groovy LOCK TAVERN are three mighty fine acts indeed...

TEENAGERSINTOKYO (www.myspace.com/teenagersintokyo)

Having just released their David Kosten-produced debut album "Sacrifice" on the mega-cool Backyard Recordings label, we're very privileged to have the mighty Teenagersintokyo as our headliners.

BEAR DRIVER (www.myspace.com/thebeardriver)

With their impending single release for "Wolves" out on 5th July, and having quite literally blown us away with a dazzling performance at Great Escape 2010, Bear Driver are a band that will leave a smile stuck in your head like a pop song.

JAMIE LEY (www.myspace.com/jamieleymusic)

Jamie is a very talented young man. Having been picked out as an artist to watch for 2010 by XFM's John Kennedy (and quite a few other people for that matter!), a cut-back acoustic set with co-vocalist Elena Tonra is really not one to be missed.

Tik Tac Toe Launch

Thanks to all who attended our very first label club, TIK TAC TOE! An amazing time was had by all. We'd like to thank our bands, Malpas, My Tiger My Timing and Stars & Sons for each playing blinding sets, as well as extending a warm high-five to Drew McConnell and Dan Sartain for being our DJ's and/or resident vinyl-pushers for the day. The atmosphere was as chilled as a Hindu cow, and we were very pleasantly surprised when Mr. Hudson showed up to take in the afternoon festivities!

We'll be announcing our second club for May very shortly - watch this space.

We love DJ Jazzy Jeff's mix of "Stay This Way!"Check out SPIN.com  to hear Living Thing's "Stay This Way" DJ Jazzy Jeff Remix and download it for free!

Last spring, the Swedes released Living Thing, their latest album that traded their characteristic pop guitars for bangin' beats -- and hip-hop heads took

notice. Mixtape master Mick Boogie curated a remix of the album, Re-Living Thing (out August 27), working with PBJ to recruit MCs Talib Kweli, GZA,

Wale and others to contribute. Among them: DJ Jazzy Jeff, who remixes "Stay This Way" under rhymes from Big Pooh (of Little Brother), Phil Nash, and

Chaundon.
